TAMARIKI BASED
RESIDENTIAL CARE

Residential care provides a safe and stable placement for tamariki and rangatahi when they aren’t able to be placed in the community.

Challenging ingrained history of negative whānau issues with a focus on violence

Identifying and addressing unwanted behaviours

Developing skills and the use of tools and resources to change those behaviours
-
Developing plans for individuals, couples, wider whānau, and community networks to aid in the healing journey
-
Follow up counselling and services as requried.

Te Wero (The Challenge) is Innov8 Group's programme designed to strengthen the social and emotional skills of tamariki who are at risk of disengagement from school. Our kaupapa is to provide safe, structured, and empowering experiences that help young people develop resilience, confidence, and connection. The programme runs 1 or 2 days per week for 8 weeks of a term.

Environmental projects - kaitiakitanga through planting and stream care

Resilience building - problem-solving, reflection, mindfulness

TE ARA MĀTUA

Namunamu Whānau Support Service
-
Support provided to whānau with children who have been identified through a 'report of concern' with Oranga Tamariki.

Where possible, whānau are diverted to the Te Ara Mātua iwi space with kaupapa Māori Provider assistance.

Support and advocacy is given to assist the whānau to address areas of concern so they and their tamariki are taken off the watch list.

Where possible, whānau connection with wider community are strengthened to provide better longterm support.

CHILD MINDING

Supported Housing Key Element
Innov8 provides professional child minding services for Oranga Tamariki and MSD. The parameters of this service is determined by the funder and can include residential support and supervision, day programme planning, working with whānau and schools, and advocacy with agencies and other mandatory organisations.
